Staff Machine Learning Engineer

### About the Role The AI & Machine Learning group at Headspace is dedicated to enhancing the experiences of our members and clinicians through AI. As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will lead the development of personalized systems, including content recommendations and conversational AI. ### Responsibilities - **Technical Leadership**: Develop recommender systems and backend services for a personalized user experience. - **Shape Personalization Architecture**: Design and implement robust AI systems. - **Collaborative Problem-Solving**: Work with software engineers, ML engineers, and product leads to create impactful features. ### Required Skills - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of ML engineering experience, programming in Python. - Proficiency in vector search, embedding models, and various machine learning techniques. - Experience with NLP tools and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow). - Strong problem-solving and communication skills. ### Preferred Skills - Master’s degree or equivalent experience. - Experience in clinical or healthcare applications of machine learning.
