Senior Network Inventory GIS Engineer

We help organizations move faster and unlock what’s next through teamwork, trust, and transparency. ### Role Overview The **Senior Network Inventory GIS Engineer** acts as a subject matter expert for the organization’s GIS network inventory. This role involves managing medium to large network GIS inventory projects, including data conversion, migration, and cleansing, as well as feature development and defect identification. You will also create, modify, research, and maintain various types of geospatial data and develop portal maps. ### Main Responsibilities - Support the construction, maintenance, and evolution of Lumen's GIS planning platform. - Translate network, demand, and implementation data structures into front-end map-based visualization. - Create new data pipelines for GIS data structures based on business use cases. - Lead key AI/ML initiatives and deliver Locate Cost Avoidance/Recovery efforts. - Handle system management and lead data for locating, including scripting. - Design and integrate databases from geographical specifications. - Modify existing GIS systems and adapt new hardware and technology. - Apply mathematical and scientific approaches to create schemas and models for GIS program designs. ### Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, or a related field. - 4+ years of experience in GIS engineering, analysis, or network inventory. - Basic Alteryx experience. - Strong understanding of GIS concepts and tools (ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.). - Experience with GIS analysis, spatial analysis, and data visualization. - Familiarity with OSP network inventory systems and CAD software. - Advanced MS Office skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. ### Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
