As a Data Scientist on the Core Engagement team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute product roadmaps, define and own success metrics, and enhance experimentation capabilities. We seek an entrepreneurial data scientist to drive our data-centric culture. You will articulate best practices, develop analytical frameworks linking user actions with output metrics, and balance analytical rigor with pragmatic business actions. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing, evaluating, and interpreting experiments, balancing speed with statistical rigor.
- Influencing product direction by translating insights into clear recommendations.
- Developing strategic insights through exploratory data analysis.
- Building scalable metrics and dashboards for efficient decision-making.
- Owning the definition and evolution of success metrics for core engagement surfaces.
**Qualifications:**
- 5+ years of data science and product analytics experience.
- BS and/or MS in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, computer science).
- Expertise in SQL and Python or R programming.
- Strong applied statistics background, including hypothesis testing and causal inference techniques.
- Familiarity with analytics and BI tools like Looker or Tableau is a plus.
- Excellent communication and strategic thinking skills.
