### About this job
We are looking for product-focused systems engineers to work on Teleport itself. You will tackle problems related to networking, performance, security, and integrations with external systems. Your responsibilities will cover the full product lifecycle, from understanding customer problems to writing RFDs, implementation, testing, and documentation. Most of your code will be open source and written in Go (or Rust).
### Projects you may work on:
- Building backend integrations with cloud providers' managed databases.
- Working on scalability and resiliency of clusters with 10K+ nodes.
- Implementing advanced HTTPS proxy with identity-aware access control.
- Building hardened security for Linux and Mac users.
### Requirements
- Experience with Go or Rust
- Linux systems engineering
- Cryptography engineering experience is a plus

### Salary
The base salary range for new hires in this role is between $180,880 - $266,000 for a level 4 and $222,360 - $327,000 for a level 5, determined by role, level, and location.
