Senior Backend Engineer (Booking Integrations, Contract)

### Company Overview Aescape is a New York-based physical AI and robotics company redefining human recovery through intelligent, precision bodywork. Our goal is to elevate recovery into a consistent, outcomes-driven practice powered by real-time body mapping, advanced robotics, and proprietary software. ### Role Overview Aescape is looking for a **Senior Backend Engineer (Booking Integrations)** on a contract basis to develop services that connect Aescape to third-party booking platforms. This role involves setting up the infrastructure for our integration services and building three third-party booking platform integrations. ### Responsibilities - Review Aescape’s service and infrastructure templates to set up a skeleton service that follows our Go service and best practices. - Establish the infrastructure for running third-party integration services to ensure ongoing maintenance is light. - Implement each booking platform integration, communicating with Aescape’s general third-party booking integration service. - Collaborate with the Aescape backend and infrastructure teams, providing feedback to improve the Aescape API and infrastructure template. - Develop an infrastructure maintenance plan and hand off the work at the end of the engagement. ### Potential Future Work - Fixing integrations when third parties introduce breaking API changes. - Adding more booking providers. - Priority consideration for expanding full-time roles on the backend team. ### Requirements - 5+ years of backend engineering experience with recent production Golang experience. - Proven experience in building and shipping third-party API integrations in production, ideally in booking, scheduling, payments, or CRM systems. - Ability to take a service from skeleton to production with clear documentation. - Comfort working with vendor APIs that may be inconsistent or poorly documented. - Experience with AWS and infrastructure setup for backend services. ### Availability Candidates must be available during core business hours Eastern Time (11am to 5pm ET) and can be based anywhere in the US.
