Principal Technologist, Office of the CTO

### Job Overview We're hiring a **Principal Technologist** into the **Office of the CTO** at Clover Health. This is a hands-on problem-solver role for someone who can walk into any room in the company, listen to what's broken, and ship a working solution — not a perfect one, but a good one that gets people moving. ### Responsibilities - Be the CTO and CEO's technical complement, handling problems and stakeholder relationships. - Listen to business stakeholders and scope pragmatic solutions. - Ship working solutions, either personally or by coordinating with engineers and analysts. - Manage a portfolio of tactical problems across the organization, ensuring multiple workstreams stay on track. - Partner closely with the CTO to align interim solutions with the long-term technical vision. ### Success Metrics - Build relationships across the organization within the first 90 days. - Earn the trust of operations leaders and department heads. - Become the go-to person for problem-solving rather than escalating issues to the CTO. ### Skills Required - Strong technical expertise in software development. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and context-switch effectively. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Pragmatic approach to problem-solving and solution delivery. This role is not managerial or bureaucratic; you will be shipping software and building lightweight applications, automations, integrations, and workflows that solve real operational problems.
