Uniswap Labs builds products that help millions of people access DeFi simply and securely, including the Uniswap Web App and Wallet, as well as crypto infrastructure like the Uniswap Trading API and Unichain. Unichain is our L2 chain, purpose-built for liquidity and DeFi. We are expanding our team to tackle ambitious infrastructure challenges, focusing on performance, capabilities, and reliability as we scale.
**What You'll Do:**
- Own projects end-to-end: scope requirements, design systems, implement solutions, and monitor them in production.
- Write clean, well-tested Rust code and raise the bar through thoughtful code reviews.
- Build and maintain infrastructure that keeps Unichain reliable, performant, and available 24/7.
- Proactively identify gaps in our systems and propose practical solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure chain stability and rapid incident response.
- Work cross-functionally to turn complex, ambiguous problems into clear technical plans.
**What You'll Bring:**
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems or blockchain infrastructure.
- Comfort with ambiguity: ability to break down unclear problems and deliver results.
- Solid understanding of cloud architectures, system design, and debugging at scale.
- Experience building systems from scratch (0→1) and scaling them.
